Euphonia headphones feel at home in bathtubs, rainstorms
We're not exactly sure what makes the Euphonia headset better than all those other waterproof alternatives out there, but if you've found yourself immediately hooked by the photo above, here's the skinny. These wireless cans reportedly shun water like it's their job, though we wouldn't recommend plunging into a pool and expecting them to work unimpeded. Supposedly, they sync up with Bain Ultra's wall-mounted MP3 player, but there's not a whole lot of details beyond that. The Euphonia is set to land on December 1st, and while pricing information has yet to be disclosed, we've got a sneaking suspicion this won't be cheap.

E-M-O!!

Or they could NOT make it dependent on the wall mounted mp3 player (which probably makes it a lot more expensive) and make them stereo bluetooth headphones so they can work with any bluetooth enabled device.
Just my $.02

These things are waterproof, I'd totally plunge into a pool--a big ass vat of water with strong electrolytes from the skin--and expect them to work.
I mean, what's the worse that could happen?
Ayle @ Nov 7th 2007 9:12PM
Would they still working in my coffin?
Alistair loveless @ Nov 7th 2007 9:34PM
yes but only if its playing
a: anything from the METROPOLIS record label
b: any music from a band of 2-4 fat, over 30, balding, guys consisting of layered appreggios and AT LEAST 2 synth players., that get WAY into playing for only pushing a button or 2 on their micro korg.
Khris @ Nov 7th 2007 9:28PM
Because mixing electronics and water is the first thing I think of when having a bath.
ark_v2 @ Nov 7th 2007 9:29PM
Am I the only one who finds these "waterproof" headphones completely useless? I mean, you're in the tub. Who would you be disturbing? Use some speakers for God's sake!
PD: I really don't think that if you go in there with someone you'd prefer to listen to Beyoncé.
kevink @ Nov 7th 2007 9:38PM
Thank you! A bathroom is a private sanctuary for yourself, at least it should be. Buy a 30 dollar boom box and crank that bad boy up. Just another piece of technology looking for a problem to fix.
derX @ Nov 7th 2007 9:41PM
Really, if I go in there with someone I'd prefer not to hear Beyoncé? Apparently, you've never heard "Speechless" or "Be With You". Listen to those and we'll see if you opinion remains the same.
Oh yeah, points for the accented e in Beyoncé.

I'd love to contribute to this dialog, but I'm off to the drugstore to get that poor girl some more bubble bath beads. Anything else you think for the shopping list? :D
Urza @ Nov 7th 2007 9:51PM
What MP3 players have bluetooth? Hell, what ANYTHING has bluetooth. I have never owned or in any way come in contact with any device that has had bluetooth.

Wow!
I'm shocked that there aren't any lewd comments about the woman... is it because she's not Asian?
C'mon people, where's the equal opportunity cat-calling?
Khris @ Nov 7th 2007 11:10PM
It's a middle-aged house-wife probably wearing a 2-piece under the bubbles.
*twirls finger* Oh I'm on FIRE now!
Kennyb123 @ Nov 7th 2007 11:10PM
It's because she's not asian.
Rik @ Nov 8th 2007 3:53AM
I see her yes...
Which bathtub and what headphones are you talking about ;-)
Rynth @ Nov 8th 2007 4:45AM
I dunno man, shes a bit on the.. hell, I'd tap it anyway.
mentos_fresh @ Nov 8th 2007 4:32AM
Can you say "Weekend at Bernie's 2"?
USA homes @ Nov 8th 2007 7:53AM
