this sentance would have been equaly as humorous and just as effective had it not been politically charged with the "implied violence" bit. seriously, it would have been much funnier if you said you ordered 100 to match your engadget-issued pendants. although i do like the "cool factor" of these lamps, i would never order one, and they arent mechanical, this should be on a design blog instead of engadget.

if you want to show something interesting, great! but if you post lamps that have nothing to do with gadgets just to make a quick whip about guns insinuating violence, please make a public disclaimer that your site has a political motive.
